    How safe is backed up data? uses high-end hardware, software, and methods to ensure your data is secure throughout the whole process. Data is encrypted, transferred over secure connections, and then stored encrypted on the server. Only you can access the content. All network and server hardware is located in climate controlled, private access data centers with on duty guard staff and 24/7 monitoring.

    You may backup your data as often as you like, as long as your computer is turned on and connected to the Internet.

    An always-on connection is required on the client side.
    DSL, ADSL, or cable internet is preferred.

    Yes, by creating a new backup set for each computer you can backup data from multiple computers on one account.

    Yes, the built-in file retention policy allows you to access multiple versions of the same file or even deleted files from your backup set.

    How is data encrypted?

    There are two encryptions being performed by DataBackupSpace:
    1. Encryption of backup data - This is done by 128-bit symmetric key encryption (AES, TripleDES, TwoFish). (128-bit is currently being used by most banks)
    2. Encryption of backup traffic - This is being done by 1024 bit RSA public key encryption.
